David Higgins

Best result:

My first outright win in the 2002 Rim of the World rally in California and 4th O/A Phillips Tour of Mull 2000.

Worst result:

Tour of Mull 2001, a slight excursion into a bog cost us the chance of a top 3 result.  Still finished the event but a long way down.

Best Championship result:

Winning both the BRC Production Cup and the SCCA ProRally series in 2002.

Best rally memory:

My first stage rally when I was 16 and the West Baldwin stage on the Isle of Man with David Higgins. Simply awesome.

Strangest incident on a rally:

Retiring from the 1999 Enterprise Printing rally with a strange engine problem.  It later turned out to be a lack of petrol that caused the problem!!

Biggest accident:

I have been fortunate enough so far not to have too many accidents, but the worst was on this year’s Rally GB when the car somehow ended up on its roof quite a distance from the road.

Achievements gained from rallying:

Travelling to magnificent places and meeting some exceptional characters.
