competed in 12 car rallies with my Dad at the age of 15, caught the bug
and competed in my first stage rally 2 months after my 16th
birthday.

usually help my car club with marshalling and organisation on the events

notes. I do enjoy maps but regret not spending enough time on maps when
I first started.

ladder of progression is too big between grass roots and WRC.

My
first outright win in the 2002 Rim of the World rally in California and
4th O/A Phillips Tour of Mull 2000.

Tour
of Mull 2001, a slight excursion into a bog cost us the chance of a top
3 result. Still finished the event but a long way down.

Polo Challenge, BRC and SCCA ProRally series.

Winning
both the BRC Production Cup and the SCCA ProRally series in 2002.

rally memory:
|
My
first stage rally when I was 16 and the West Baldwin stage on the Isle
of Man with David Higgins. Simply awesome.

Strangest
incident on a rally:
|
Retiring
from the 1999 Enterprise Printing rally with a strange engine problem.
It later turned out to be a lack of petrol that caused the problem!!

Biggest
accident:
|
I
have been fortunate enough so far not to have too many accidents, but
the worst was on this years Rally GB when the car somehow ended
up on its roof quite a distance from the road.

I
would buy an Opel Manta 400 and co-drive for my Dad on the Irish Tarmac
Championship.
