Went along to help service for friends and after 2 years eventually got a chance to sit in the passenger seat

Usually my expenses and, dependent on the driver and timing of the event, put in towards entry fees, etc

No - couldn't afford the repairs bills I'd generate

Yes - ANWCC events and I used to go up for the Jim Clark

Prefer notes but have really enjoyed the events I’ve done on maps as they give a different sort of satisfaction

** Lyndon Barton and Steve Simpson were both excellent opportunites with huge experience. Chris Reid is still lightning quick and is developing into a well-rounded driver although still struggles with budget - could turn heads if he gets a break

What would be the best tip you could give to other co-drivers?

Find someone experienced who you can ring and pester before, during and after events. Books are great but the best way to learn what co-driving is all about is to ask questions (No matter how daft they sound - ASK!)
